Cannot delete old printer presets
MacBook Air, OS X Yosemite (10.10.3), 12" / Mid 2012
You should try resetting your printing system. This will delete all old presets and all current and older printers from your system. You must then add back your existing printers, and can make new presets without having to wade through an outdated list.
Go to your System Preferences > Printers& Scanners, then control click on the list of printers at left. This brings up a popup, and select Reset Printing System...
As I said this will delete any printers in your list, along with all presets.
Same problem with El Capitan. Just got off the phone with Apple Support. "You can't delete any the presets."
Sure would be nice to delete some older presets!
